2.3.2.3 Store Retailers C
Completion requirements
Superstores carry a large variety of products from many product categories. Real Canadian Superstores® , for example, have movie sections and clothing sections. They sell dishes, cosmetics, and books as well as all the products you would find in a supermarket. Superstores enable consumers to purchase various products at one convenient location. Superstores offer low prices to their customers. They have the "no frills" attitude of discount stores.
Convenience stores offer many products that are in a supermarket, but quantity and selection are small. Convenience stores offer extended hours. Their higher prices compensate for offering the added convenience.
Warehouse clubs, such as Costco®, are open to members only. They offer big discounts, but carry less variety in products. A consumer may have only a few products to choose from in a particular category. Warehouse clubs offer few value added
services, and a relatively basic environment.
