Family Law

Section 3: Conclusion

In this section, you have looked at a variety of family law issues. You have compared the rights of cohabiting couples to those of spouses, and you have investigated topics like grandparents' access rights, enduring power of attorney, and children's obligations to support their elderly parents. Finally, in Lesson 3 you looked in some depth at the problem of family violence and the legal recourse available to victims.

At this point in the course, you should have a pretty good grounding in the basics of family law. In Section 4 you will use this grounding to investigate challenging issues in family law and ask yourself if a career in this area might be a possibility for you.
