Simple Machines and Energy Transfer
When asked to think of a machine, weoften think about a large, complex piece of equipment that can do tremendousamounts of work. Those tweezers are also a machine-just a very simpleone.Â
We use very simple machines all the time, but never give much attention to them because they are too common and just, well, plain simple. Large machines are often made of the simple machines-large in scale with many different ones being used together. All machines have the same function: to transfer energy. This section deals with various simple machines.Â
