Seven life functions are common to all living things.  If any one of these functions is not present in an object, then it is defined as non-living. 

Read page 180 to learn what these seven life functions are. Then, answer the following questions.

Question 1. The question was "How are you like a dandelion?"

The dandelion is a plant, a common weed.  You, and every person, are like a dandelion in that you have seven life functions that are the same.

  1. transportation

  2. nutrition

  3. growth and repair

  4. reproduction

  5. regulation

  6. metabolism

  7. synthesis
