Lesson 4.1: Technology That Maintains Homeostasis

When the body is damaged by disease or accident, it may be able to repair itself.  Sometimes, the body cannot repair itself.  Medical technology is improving constantly to help a damaged body maintain homeostasis.  Various tools help diagnose problems, technologies do the work of damaged organs, and technologies help doctors make repairs or replacements to damaged body parts.
