It is now time for step 5, Establish a Sustainable Customer Relationship.

Making the actual purchase as easy as possible for the customer will leave the customer with positive feelings regarding the purchase, you and your company.  Having smooth and positive mechanics of the sale will make the customer more likely to return to do business with you.

Ringing in the Sale
Be sure you are familiar with the equipment and that it is functioning properly.
Wrapping or Bagging Merchandise
Presentation of your merchandise is a great way to market. Wrap or bag the merchandise so that your company name is apparent. For example, hand the customer the merchandise in a proper-sized bag with an easy carrying handle.
Taking Leave
Be sure that you thank the customer for his or her business, and end the sale on a positive note.
