Technology has made the most change in sales in recent years and will continue to do so.  Many customers prefer to bypass human salespeople, research what they want to buy online, and get the goods of services directly from online suppliers.  However, customers always will exist; the challenge is to channel those customers to the product or service that you are selling.

The use of telepresence technologies , social networks , data analytics,  and outsourcing   will have significant roles in future sales.  To become educated and updated in all future technologies is important if you are to use them to gain customers. 

Whether you are selling online or face-to-face, positive interactions with customers are crucial.  The five steps that you have studied in this course are still relevant.


 

 

The salesperson skillful at adapting to change will be the salesperson with the most sales.
