Lesson 6: Closing the Sale



Referrals


Prepare to get referrals from the moment you make contact with someone.  If you are successful with a customer, chances are that you will be recommended to family and friends.

  • Ask for referrals and get the particulars on how to make contact.
    • If appropriate, ask, "Who do you know that would also benefit from my product or service?"

  • Know when to say good-bye. If you have not earned any business from the person or referrals after keeping in contact for six months, move on. Your time is precious.
