The Double Crochet (dc)
- To begin row, thread over and insert hook from the front under the two top threads of 4th chain from hook.
- Thread over and draw through stitch (st). There are now three loops on hook. Thread over.
- Draw thread through 2 loops. Two loops remain on hook.
- Thread over again and draw through the two remaining loops. One loop remains on hook. One double crochet (dc) is now completed.
- Repeat until you have made a double crochet (dc) in every chain.
- At the end of row, chain three (ch 3) and turn. The three chain stitches count as the first double crochet (dc) on next row.
- Repeat each one in the same way.
To fasten off, clip thread about 10 cm from work, bring loose end through the one remaining loop on hook and pull tightly.
