Introduction

Knitting

What is knitting?

Knitting is an age-old method of making fabric by which yarn is manipulated to create a decorative pattern.

Knitting can be done by machine or hand.

Knitting by hand requires knitting needles and yarn.

The knitting process involves wrapping the yarn on one needle, then slipping the new stitch through and off the other needle.

Different knitting techniques cause the loops to interlock in different patterns.
