In this course you will explore the legal relationship between the government and the citizen, with an emphasis on criminal (public) law.
Program of Studies Outcomes:
1. You will explore various sources of protection for group and individual rights and responsibilities.
2. You will learn about methods of protecting your rights and responsibilities.
3. You will learn how and why children, youth and adults are treated differently with respect to criminal law.
4. You will distinguish between civil, quasi-criminal, and criminal law.
5. You will create a connection between a personal inventory of your interests, beliefs, resources, and prior learning/experiences and occupational choices relating to legal studies.
