  The Purposes of Taxation

Income tax, GST, PST, and HST — you have likely heard of these terms. They are the different forms of taxation that all Canadians have to pay. In this lesson, you will look at how Canada began their taxation system and why we have to pay taxes at all. It's not very often you hear people saying good things about taxes and the taxation system in Canada, but we have to recognize that this money goes to very important services in our country.
