Measurement of Ingredients

  1. Before taking any dry ingredients out of the container, slightly lift or stir the ingredients within the container.

  2. Using the measuring spoon, scoop lightly from the container.

  3. Use a knife or metal spatula to level the ingredients so they are even with the edge of the measuring spoon.

  4. Examples: baking powder and baking soda
  1. Using a measuring spoon, pour carefully over a custard cup to avoid spills.
  2. Pour until even with edges of the measuring spoon.
