The paragraph below shows some of our connections to other countries in the world. (Every word in red is a product that comes from another country.)

It was time to start getting ready for school. Shawn took a quick shower, and then got dressed in a
hoodie and
jeans. He got a cup of
coffee and put some bread in the
toaster. Shawn was still hungry when he finished his toast, so he had an
apple. He took a sandwich and a
banana for lunch. Shawn put on his
runners and
coat, and then headed out for the bus.

The map below pinpoints all the countries just mentioned. It also identifies the continents of the world. Continents are large areas that contain more than one country.
There are seven continents in the world and they are:
- North America
- South America
- Europe
- Africa
- Asia
- Australia
- Antarctica
