 The Impact of the Media

The main reasons for globalization are expanding media coverage and accessibility of and advancements in communication technologies. These factors make it easier for people to share ideas and information around the world.



In this theme, you will learn about the format of news articles and about the types of news available to you. You will learn about the types of media and how media is presented to audiences. You will then learn about credibility, objectivity, and bias in the media and learn about accessibility of information and writers' freedom to report information. To end this theme, you will look at how the advancements of technology have both benefited and harmed communities and look closely at the positive and negative aspects of computer technology.
