Introduction to Theme 1:
Understanding numbers
Math is used constantly in our lives: at home, in the community, at your part-time job. βWhen will I use this math?β is a question often asked by students wondering how topics like factorization and finding factors and multiples will play a role in their lives.
However, often without
realizing it, we use math in day-to-day activities like making purchases
at the store, tracking phone minutes, and even cooking and baking.
