Project
Have you dreamed of scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef, mountain biking in Costa Rica or climbing Mount Kilimanjaro? Opportunities for ecotourism and adventure tourism are growing rapidly.For this project, you are will choose a ‘bucket list’ adventure. Your adventure must include one of the activities from the ‘Alternative Environment’ dimension. This is a research project, and you may present your adventure any way you wish. Plan your adventure to occur during the next calendar year. That way, you can use current travel information, including airfare and scheduled tour dates.
Criteria
You must include all the following information in your project:- Detailed Itinerary (from the day you leave until the day you arrived back). Include approximate time of each planned activity
- All costs involved in the entire trip. Flights, hotels, campsite, vehicle rental, meals, gas, activity fees are examples of all costs that you should be accounting for.
- Equipment needed
- Nutrition needs (for the action adventure activity)
- Hydration needs (for the action adventure activity)
- Risks associated with the Activity
- First Aid/Emergency Provisions needed
- Reasons this Activity appeals to you
The presentation needs to be presented in a professional manner, but you may choose the medium that you present it with (examples are PowerPoint, prezi, Word). Include appropriate pictures. Be sure that you include a list of websites used for your research.
