Daily Activity: Using Technology

The benefits that come with physical activity are too numerous to list. Not only does physical activity directly impact your physical health, but it is also important to your emotional, intellectual and mental health.

One of the goals of Alberta's Physical Education program is daily physical activity. Another goal is to learn activities that enable you to be active throughout your lifespan.  For many young adults who are active as youth, they find it becomes harder to find the time and activities to be active in as they move from organized sport or activity groups to having to schedule activities into busy lifestyles which may include jobs, post secondary school or family life.

Learning how to stay active as you transition to less organized activities can be a difficult task when you are trained to be active when your organized youth sport or activity group is active.  Many will join recreational leagues, but those are only once or twice a week, far less daily time and less days per week than when you are in youth sports or activities.

The guiding questions for this assignment are:
1. What happens to my activity levels if I can no longer play/participate in ___________?
2. Which type of technology can I use to assist in being active?
3. How is my motivation to be active affected by technology?
