Fuel Up
Fuel Up
In this assignment, you need to take responsibility for your diet for three days. Communicate with family members what your goal is and choose a time frame that works for not only you, but your family members as well.

The basic steps of this project are listed below. Download the Fuel Up Planning sheet for more detailed steps.
Step One
Access Health Canada's Food Guidelines. Because of the January 2019 changes to the food guide, you may not be familiar with the new guidelines so please review these prior to starting Step Two. You should notice significant changes as food groups have changed as well as serving sizes.
Step Two
Access the Tips for healthy eating section of the Food Guide. You can also access this by clicking the 'Tips' button on the left hand side of the home page of the Canada Food Guide website. Read through each of the tips that apply to you. Not every tip section will apply to you; for instance the 'Seniors' tip section will be of no use to you now (but one day will).
Step Three
Identify one of the tips that you can follow that you believe will improve how you eat. You will be required to adhere to a goal you set for this tip for 3 days.Step Four
Make a goal for yourself related to the tip. Within the goal be sure to plan what changes in your behavior you will be making to ensure you can achieve the goal.Step Five
Follow your plan. Make records of what you are doing. Be sure to take some photos that will go in your presentation.
Step Six
Create a presentation using PowerPoint or Google Slides. Make sure you include at minimum the items listed on the planning sheet.Download the Fuel Up planning sheet by selecting the file type you prefer:
Microsoft Word
Google Doc

Once you have completed both parts of the assignment, submit them to your teacher to be assessed.
