Lesson 4: Decimals


You may not realize just how often decimal numbers are used every day in our society. Of course, the most common and obvious use is money, but there are many other uses as well. Have you ever weighed yourself? Think about the road signs that indicate a certain point to be 2.2 km. Do you have a thermometer that you like to check to see how cold it is on a November morning? You might read this in terms of -8.5°C.
