Lesson 9: Using formulas

in everyday contexts

In previous lessons, you learned about patterns and the formulas that produce or describe them.

How can you use this skill in daily life? Think of all the choices you make every day when choosing various products. For example, when choosing a smartphone, you will likely have questions such as how much to spend, what features to include, and how big is the screen.

When you are a consumer of various products, you can sometimes use a formula to help you make decisions.
