Now that you have learned how to read information from tables, let's review how to read data from charts.

A pie chart is a special chart that uses "pie slices" to show relative sizes of data.
For example, imagine you just did a survey of your friends to find which kind of movie they liked best.
Here are the results:
You can display this information from the above table in a pie chart.
As you can see by looking at the pie chart, this is an easy way to see which movie types are most liked and which are least liked, at a glance. Note that there are percentages after each type of movie. This represents the part (percent) of the total
chart. For example, according to the chart above, only 5% of your friends like to watch dramas, while 25% like to watch action movies. All parts of the chart must add up to 100%. This is done in the example above (20% + 20% + 25% + 30% + 5% = 100%).
Now let's practise reading information from a pie chart. Take a look at the pie chart below, and then answer the questions that follow.
