6.11 Global Citizenship

To what extent should I as a citizen respond to globalization?

Citizenship involves taking action to make the world a better place. Democratic societies are founded on the idea that every individual has both a right and a responsibility to participate in that society. However, people do not always agree. Sometimes the action people take means supporting the status quo, and sometimes it means disagreeing with the way society operates. Citizenship can also mean finding ways to bring people together.

The following videos show how a New York rock band brought together musicians from all over the world to produce a song titled "Citizens of the World".
