Certificates

Currently, there are a number of online courses that you can take through the Alberta Construction Safety Association.

Some of them are very beneficial to have, even if you don't enter into employment in the construction setting.  For example,
WHMIS is required by many employers and having that certificate may give you an edge over others competing for the same job.
If you do acquire any of the following certificates, don't forget to add them to your resume and always keep a hard copy of the
certificate in your portfolio.

You can find the directions to register for a course here.
If you scroll further down the page, you will see:

Online Courses

From the list, you can select the course(s) that you want to take.
I would recommend the following two courses as they are extremely valuable to have:

WHMIS (generic) - always free

Construction Safety Training System (CSTS 2020) Fundamentals - free until December 31, 2020; this may be extended.

The other courses that are listed as being "free", will be free until December 31, 2020 only, although they may be extended.
When ADLC is notified whether they will be extended or not, this page will be updated.
