Activity 2: Jury Duty

In Activity 1, you were asked to determine what responsibilities Canadian citizens have in Canadian society.
Participating in jury duty is one responsibility Canadian citizens have; it is one way that citizens participate in the justice system. Jury duty is a legal responsibility of Canadian citizens. This means that if a citizen is called to appear for jury duty, he or she must report as ordered.
jury: a group of people given the responsibility to pass judgment on a given legal matter

In Canada, many court cases involve juries. Conduct a survey of the adults in your family to see if they have participated in jury duty. You can extend your survey to other adults that you know. Also, for those who have participated in jury duty, ask about their experiences.
Record your results in your notes, and save them to your Activities folder.
