Maps: Atlas of Canada: Quality of Life - A Citizen's Report Card
Due to the size of the
pdf, you will need to increase the size of the maps to view details.
This can be done using the plus/minus buttons near the top of the
screen. Then, you can use the scroll bars to view the various maps.
Locate the "Voter Turnout for General Election, 1998-2000 (%) map".
Notice the legend on
the upper right side of the map, which shows the percentage of voter
turnout. No data is used where not enough information was available;
less than 59% is low or below average; 59%-66% is fair; 67%-70% is good;
and 71%-75%
is high, which is above average.
- Consider Newfoundland and Labrador on the map. What was the percentage of voter turnout for general elections?
You should have noticed that voter turnout was less than 59%, which is considered low or below average.
