Get Focused
Every product that we purchase has to be manufactured, produced, or assembled somewhere.
View the collage below to see some examples of where products originate.

Find ten products that you or your family use regularly or have purchased in the past month. As an alternative, go to the nearest convenience store, supermarket, or mall to find ten different or unique products.
Inspect the item labels or packaging to find out where the product was manufactured, made, or grown. Write a list of your items and their specified location of production.
Save your list to your Activities folder.
You should be able to develop generalizations about the products you buy from this list. For example:
- Do you only buy products that are made locally?
- Do you pay attention to where the products that you purchase are made?
- What does this say about your consumer habits?
- What factors influence consumer behaviour?
- How is my quality of life influenced by consumer behaviour?
