Learning Logs and Response Journals
A learning log is a written record of your learning. In it, you can record things you have discovered, made, learned, written, enjoyed doing, or would like to learn to do better. Writing your thoughts about your learning activities in a learning log helps you to think about your learning and plan future learning experiences.
A response journal is a written record of your thoughts about what you are reading. As you read or listen to a poem, a story, a novel, or a play, you can write whatever occurs to you. This includes feelings or questions you have about story events, words or phrases you liked or did not understand, events from your own life that come to mind, predictions about what will happen next, and things you like or dislike about a character or event.
