Unit Five Review
In this unit, you considered the following questions:
What did you learn?
In modern or "contemporary" times, the people of the world have become increasingly connected. Globalization expanded after the Cold War and with the assistance of free trade, trade agreements, international organizations, technology, and transnational corporations. Globalization may be helping the world's people to become wealthier, but wealth is not equally shared within countries or among countries. Although many nations in the world are capitalist democracies, globalization presents some challenges to everyone.
This multiple-choice quiz is for marks. Review the main ideas and terms in the unit before you complete the quiz. Because it is an unsupervised open-book quiz, if you do not know the answer to a question, look it up!
For questions based on a source, read the question first so you know what you are looking for in the source. Then, look carefully at the source before you select a response. Some questions have hints; read them carefully.
After reviewing the feedback on your first attempt, you may complete the quiz a second time. If you make a second attempt on the quiz, your mark will be the average of the two attempts.
Together, the Unit Reviews are worth 10% of your school-awarded mark.
