Harmful Substances
Many materials or substances used at work, at school, or at home could harm your health. These substances could be dusts, gases, or fumes that you breathe in or liquids, gels, or powders that come into contact with your eyes or skin. Harmful substances can be present in anything from paints and cleaners to flour dust. Many substances can harm your health, but used properly, they almost never do. In this lesson, you will learn about toxins in your environment and how to deal with hazardous materials in a safe manner.
