It is only within the last hundred years or so that the invention of airplanes and rocket ships has allowed humans to venture into the clouds and beyond. In that time, we've sent people to the moon, rovers to Mars, and space probes deep into the reaches of our solar system. Advanced telescopes that orbit Earth are also bringing the most remote edges of the universe closer to home. Space exploration is important for all mankind. In this lesson, you will learn about the factors affecting space exploration as well as the contributions and technologies that affect our lives.

This theme includes five lessons:

  • Lesson 24 — Issues with Space Exploration
  • Lesson 25 — Factors Affecting Space Exploration

  • Lesson 26 — Canadian Contributions to Space Exploration

  • Lesson 27 — Technologies from Space Exploration that Affect our Lives

  • Lesson 28 — The Dangerous Nature of Space
