  • Albertans have a say in how the forests are managed.
  • The beauty of the forested landscape is retained.
  • Recreational values are retained.


 


Ecological Processes are Protected

  • There is no "monoculture" created where there once was species diversity.
  • Wildlife and their habitat are protected.
  • Water quality remains high for fish and downstream users.
  • The capability of soils to grow trees is not reduced.
  • Trees contribute to global carbon, nitrogen, and water cycles just as they always have.
