Once completed, these organizers will help you complete the assignment for this lesson.

BEFORE reading:  Scan through the story you are about to read.  How long is it?  Does it have features that help you understand it?  Pictures or illustrations perhaps?  What do they tell you about the story?  Think about possible meanings for the title.

DURING reading:  Every so often, pause and record into your Signposts Graphic Organizer and your Plot Diagram.

AFTER reading:  Think about important meanings in your story.  Finish filling in your organizers.
