Communication often breaks down! Have you considered what leads to communication failure? Is it the attention or inattention of the listener to the message?

Non-fiction writing opens a window into someone elseโ€™s life and understanding. It reveals factual information about people and events previously unknown. It takes note of facts that are or existโ€”before the listener decides what they mean. These facts may challenge previous opinions and assumptions and may even persuade the listener to change his or her mind. Non-fiction is never fabricated.

Readers of non-fiction respect author intent as well as the message. Readers assume the author may have an intention different from their own. In short, non-fiction provides readers with the opportunity to learn.
