Why would someone choose to live in Canada?
Both Figure 2.1 and Figure 2.2 suggest that life is good. Canada has beautiful landscapes, and people are proud to be Canadians.
People come to Canada today for many reasons. Those who want to live here may want a better life, including jobs, affordable living, or a chance to own property.
In the 1600s, colonists came to New France for some of the same reasons: they may have wanted economic opportunities, safety, or free land.
