- As in Chapter 3, you are provided with a student notes document for Chapter 4.
- The notes follow the chapter and have fill-in-the-blank sentences with page numbers for you to find words to put in the blanks. This practice will help you learn this material better.

you read the textbook pages given in the lessons for Chapter 4.

- Read pages 74 and 75 of the textbook to learn about the first meetings between the Europeans and First Nations peoples.

- Review the video, "Barter and Trade", that you watched at the beginning of the unit to see how it relates to the parties who were in the fur trade.
- Read page 80 of the textbook, which considers the perspectives of the First Nations women and their role in the fur trade.
