Activity
Canada experienced an influx of immigrants from Britain between 1815 and 1850. This massive immigration became called the Great Migration.
Immigrants travelled from Britain to Canada by ship.
It was a long journey and many immigrants were poor. They had to travel below deck where disease was prevalent. Many people died of disease before they reached Canada.

- During this time, such a large influx of people resulted in changes to the colonies. The British colonies began to mirror British culture because they followed British customs and traditions.
