What significant event defines Confederation?

In Chapter 7, you have learned about the conditions leading up to Confederation and the events that happened until Confederation was signed.

  1. Review Chapter 7 to find the significant events that led to Confederation.

  2.   Construct your own timeline in Word or another appropriate program.

    1.  Construct a timeline of significant events leading to Confederation.
    2. Identify 4 to 6 significant events and dates on your timeline.
    3.  Describe briefly each event.
    4.   Beneath your timeline or in another document, identify which event you think was most important in achieving Confederation. Explain why this event was most important. 

    Be sure your product meets the following criteria:

    • 4 - 6 significant events are identified and placed in chronological order.

    • Each event has a brief description.

    • You have identified and explained the most important event.
