Canada: After Confederation Timeline

At the beginning of Unit 3, you were instructed to watch for a clock symbol throughout the lessons of this unit. You will now use this symbol to help you complete the assessment for Unit 3.
- Your task is to review your textbook and chapter notes to find ten significant events that were important to the development of Canada from the time period of 1840 to 1905.
- Construct a timeline that includes the ten significant events you have chosen.
- For each event that you choose, do all the following:
- Provide the date.
- Include a picture relevant to the event.
- Describe the event and explain its importance to the development of Canada.
- Remember: For some dates, there are numerous important events in that year. For some years, there may be only one important event.
- You may find the following websites helpful to look for pictures.
- You may construct your timeline in Word or in Microsoft PowerPoint. You may also use another appropriate format. Contact your teacher if you require assistance.
