Canada has one of the largest and most successful immigration programs in the world.

Every year, approximately 250 000 immigrants are selected to live in Canada. 

There are three types of immigration in Canada.

Economic immigration - These are people selected to come to Canada for their skill and education.

Family Class immigration - These are people who come to Canada to join their families.

Refugees - These are people who come to Canada because they need protection. They may be fleeing torture or persecution in their home country.
