Canada is sometimes called a cultural mosaic.
A mosaic is a type of artwork. A picture is made of many small pieces of various coloured tiles or glass. Each piece has its own colour and shape, but each piece contributes to the design of the picture.
This is the way Canada has been formed – a wide variety of cultures all living together in peace within one country.
