Do you jump to the sound of a text message or phone sounds such as: 

  • baby giggles
  • tunes
  • jingles
  • ringtones
Sounds are addictive such as ear-worms (tunes stuck in your head).  Ads use the sounds you can't resist, to manipulate you.

Colour
has the same kind of power in advertising as it does in images.

Because colour can change your mood, ads use colour to express thought without words. 

 
Repeating key words and phrases in copy (text) such as:

  • slogans
  • catch phrases
  • descriptions
  • logos
  • name brands
Is a good way to manipulate buyers.
