Visual communication is a powerful medium that contains persuasive elements. However, to successive generations, the meaning of a visual becomes increasingly obscure.
Consider archeological finds such as cave paintings or the Nasca Lines in Peru.
The Nasca Indians of Peru around 400 A.D. used white rocks to create huge pictures in the desert.
Is Figure 1 an astronaut? A human? An alien? What does the image mean? Why was it created? The answer is now a mystery.
