Knowing your values and attitudes will help you develop a clearer sense of what's most important to you in life.
Values
are what you really care about, not only in your personal life, but also in a work situation. Values can serve as your guiding force, especially when making decisions and pursuing options that lead to happiness, including career options.
Some of your values may include:
-
good health
-
hard work
-
money
-
happiness
-
friendship
-
education
-
family

Attitudes describe the way you feel inside. In the workplace, these are your feelings toward your boss, your co-workers, your job, and your position within the company. Every employee has an attitude towards the environment that they work in
— either positive or negative.

When you can work according to your own values, you will feel more comfortable in the work environment, and will be able to express yourself better. Therefore, it is worthwhile being aware not only of your own values but also the values of companies and
organizations that interest you.
