Introduction to Worldview
What is a worldview?
Grade Eight Social Studies is about issues related to contact between societies with differing worldviews. This Introductory Unit explores the meaning of worldview.
People in different societies have various worldviews.
Looking at the following figure, you can likely tell immediately that the people in the photo see the world differently than you do. Their faces reveal a sense of fear as they look up at an unfamiliar flying drone. Why do you think he has drawn his weapon? Is it clear that what you consider ordinary might not be ordinary to other people in the world?
