How did Spanish and Aztecs view the religions of others?
The war between the Aztecs and the Spanish was not just a war of
military battles. It was also a war of cultures – a culture clash. The
groups saw the world very differently.
One of these great
differences was in religious beliefs. The strong differences between the
religious beliefs of these two nations contributed to the animosity
between them.
The Aztecs’ religious beliefs were very different from those of the modern western world.
