The Aztecs built a great civilization about 500 years ago. Their religion was an important part of their culture.
Your assignment is to produce a representation of the Aztecs' religious beliefs and the ways these beliefs affected their worldview.

Choose one of the following two options.


Construct a web that answers the following questions. Put the sun god, Huitzilopochtli, at the centre of your web.

  2. What did the people believe were Huitzilopochtli’s responsibilities?
  3. What were the people’s responsibilities to Huitzilopochtli? Why?
  4. What impact did fulfilling these responsibilities have on the Aztecs' attitudes towards other peoples?
  5. How did the people’s relationship with Huitzilopochtli influence their art, literature, and architecture?
