How might the location of a country influence its religious experience?

A very interesting question is asked in your textbook on page 194.

• Have you ever thought about the idea that different countries look in different directions?

Have you thought about this? In what direction were the people of Spain looking? How would looking in a specific direction influence their religion?

Today, Spain is a Christian country as it was during the Renaissance and the Age of Exploration. However, this was not always so.
