In what ways did technology and disease contribute to the Spanish domination over the Aztecs?

The battle between the Spanish and the Aztecs was far from equal.

The Spanish had the advantage of superior weapons and horses. Unknowingly, they carried diseases for which the Indigenous peoples had no immunity.

An equally-matched battle between the Aztecs and the conquistadors was not possible.
