Unit 2 Final Assessment
What Happened?
You will submit this assessment to your teacher who will use it to assess how well you have learned the Big Ideas in Unit 2.
In the years following the Spanish conquest, Mexico experienced many changes. Because of the culture clash, each group re-thought about how they saw the world.
How was modern Mexico developed by the Indigenous peoples and the Spanish conquistadors? We know the descendants of the Spanish and the Aztecs and other Indigenous groups worked together to gain independence from Spain. How did all these people change their views so that they could work together?
Did the Spanish begin to think more like the Aztecs about some things? Did the Aztecs begin to think like the Spanish about some things? Did the Mestizo descendants of both cultures develop a new worldview?
In this two-part assessment, you will first complete a Prove Your Point Chart to help you plan your ideas. You will then write the composition. Your planning chart and composition will be submitted.
